The Travelers Together

Bethany and Mary came with us to Indiana!
We had a lot of fun together! We stopped on the way home from church
to get this picture! Thanks for coming with us girls! It was a blast!

Can someone please tell me how to rotate pictures!!?
Beth and I took the girls bowling! It was fun! Thanks for
helping make this trip a blast! Love you Beth!

Oh, if I only knew how to rotate!? :-)
Charise and Mary loved Aunt Julie's tire swing!
Aren't they cute! I'm so glad that they are friends!
Thank you for being a good friend Mary!

This is at the bowling alley! Yes, I admit my defeat!

Bethany won! I still think it was pure luck!

Fun in Indy!!!!

Charise and I got back from our trip to Indiana! It was soooo much fun!
Aunt Julie, Uncle Jeff, and Justine all opened up their home
to Charise, myself, and my friends Bethany and Mary!
We had a blast! It was so enjoyable to be with my family!
When I got my car at graduation from high school, my
Aunt Julie made me promise to come out and see her
before I got married! I don't think she believed I ever would
but to her amazement, and my own, I did!:-)
They took us to Indiana Beach which was fun! I got Aunt Julie
to go on the Faris Wheel! We love you guys! Thanks
for letting us come and spend time with you all!

Wynn, Aunt Julie, & Larissa on
Aunt Julie's front porch!
(sadly for Larissa it wasn't raining :-)

Justine, Charise, and I! It was so fun to spend some more time with Justine! We never get to see her and she has grown up into quite the lady! We went bowling with her and watched a few movies! It was fun even if she had to go to school! Thanks for the fun time Justine!

Wynn, Christa, Larissa, & Charise having supper! Jeffrey, Stefanie, & Uncle Phillip and company came over and we had a barbaque! It was so fun! Thanks for the great food!

It was such a joy to see Grandma and Grandpa again! Being with them reminds me of the godly heritage that I come from. Grandpa and I got to talk theology for a while on Monday and it was so fun to hear this man of God speak about the things of God with the zeal that only Grandpa can! Grandma made us all smile with her joyful disposition and I praise God that not only her children rise up and call her blessed, but also her grandchildren! We love you Grandma and Grandpa! (The chocolate milk was wonderful)!!

NEWS FLASH!!

I BLOGGED AGAIN!!!! SOAK IT IN! IT DOESN'T HAPPEN OFTEN!

A Birthday Surprise!

Bethany and Dan surprised me for my birthday! Bethany surprised me by having Dan come up to her house and we all went to a concert to hear Ronin Tinin (Sp?) from the Irish Tenors sing! Unfrotunately Ronin had a family emergency back in Ireland and so John McDormant sang in his place. It was still absolutely incredible! We went to orchestra hall in the cities and wow it was amazing! The first song he sang was 'The Voyage', one of my favorites! Dan turned to me during that song and said, "This one's for you!" It was such a surprise and so much fun! We went with Charise, Bethany & her sisters Caitlin, Mary, and her sister Amy and her husband Eric! It was soooooo fun! Then afterwards Dan came over to Beth's house with us and we watched 'Night at the Museum!' It was a very interesting movie! Not one I'd watch over and over again, but fun to watch at least once! After that, we took Dan over to Amy and Eric's for the night and we had a girls night at Beth's! We all slept outside! It was hilarious. We slept on the trampelene and hamock! We laughed so hard that night! Thank you for the fun and the surprises! It was a really special treat!
All of us at Orchestra hall! It was really funny because no one knows how
to use my camera! It doesn't matter who they are they always push the wrong
button to zoom in! So we had him take 2 but they both turned out great!

Aww!! Thanks Dan for the fun night! The concert was amazing!

Bethany, You are amazing! You went to a lot of work for that weekend! Thank you for all you did, for the book and everything! It was very sweet of you to invite Dan to be in on our weekend! Thank you very very very very very much! I had so much fun with you! Thanks for helping me find my wedding dress!:-)

This is sooo cute! In the hallway heading back to the cars there was a man playing an accordian! He was really good and Amy and Eric started to 'dance'. It was sooo cute! Thank you guys for being a model couple to me! I highly respect both of you and appreciate your wisdom and insight! God Bless you both and baby too!:-) Kiss Anders from me!

My dear Charise! You have become so very dear to me! I love your smile, and sweet spirit. You give me great joy and I love you very much! Thank you for not only being my sister but one of my very best friends! I love you girl! God Bless you as you continue to live for Him!!!

Graduation!!!!! I'm Done!!!

It's finally finished! Four years! Can you believe it? I sure can't! This was quite a day! I sang a solo for graduation and also gave a speech! I didn't cry!! That was a blessing from the Lord! I was praying that it would go okay! It was cool because Bethany, my Good friend also got to give a speech!! And I walked in right behind her! I praise God for His faithfulness to me over the last 4 years and am looking forward to using what I have learned for His glory and Honor!! I praise Him for all He has done and am truly amazed at His glory!! He is worthy of all the praise and So I praise Him!!
Lindsay, Carissa, and I! The 3 Volleyball Captains! :-)
Love you girls! We sure had some fun times!
Just Keep Swimming :-)
Carissa, thanks for the great year of Floor Leading Together!
I loved every minute of working and growing with you!
God Bless you this summer!

Bethany and I! Two years as floor leaders and much more combined!
We have learned a lot together and grown so much!

I couldn't have made it through college without you. You taught me much about

communicating, serving God, and drawing close to Him at all times!

Thank you for your friendship which I hold dear!

Thank you for consenting to being a part of my wedding and

for your faithfulness to me and our wonderful Lord! I love You Beth!

Mr. Darrell Bevis and I! Mr. B. you have taught me more

than anyone at Pillsbury! You have not only taught me music

and love for God, but you have also taught me about

the joy there is in serving Him and being pliable for the Great Jehovah,

Creator, and Sustainer, Our Great God and Personal Lord! (Amos 7). Thank you

and God Bless you! Thank you for consenting to sing in my wedding!

Mom and Dad Bevis! They have put up with me for

4 years! They have been there for doctor visits,

times of trouble whether material or emotional, and

counseled me through many a trying times! Thank you for stepping in

when my parents were away! I love You!

Dan and I! I couldn't have made it to the end without you!

I didn't know that at first, but now I see that God has made you just for me.

I will save everyone else from reading a sappy love note, and suffice it to

say, thank you for loving me! I love you!

We're Engaged!!!

Guess What!! Dan and I got engaged on April 27th! We are planning on getting Married on December 21st. We're not sure on the time yet. Probably 6:30 or 7:00. It was a very sweet proposal! I am in love with a wonderful man that loves the Lord and longs to honor Him first and foremost! That is one of the biggest blessings ever!! Here are a few of our engagement pictures that we had taken recently!!

This is up in the tower at Pillsbury

where he asked me to be his girlfriend!

I love this one!!

We got our pictures taken at Minneopa Falls in Mankato!

Fun on the 'Beach'

Aren't you all surprised! I have posted pictures on my blog!!!
Miracle of miracles, she's alive!!
Dan and I went on a really fun date down to the lake!

There's this really beautiful bridge that makes you

feel like you just walked into Anne of Green Gables
(of which I failed to get a picture)

and below this very high bridge there is a sand island in the middle

of the river! Dan and I decided to wade out there and have a picnic

and play frisbee. It was sooo fun!! People would walk over the bridge and say,

"Watch out for the trolls!! :-) " No joke!! It was so much fun! We had a blast!

Java Live Improv

Last week Daniel, Beth, and I went to a little coffee house in Fairbolt! It was really fun and they had an improv group there. It was hilarious! All three of us ended up getting to go up and be helpers! It was really fun. The coffee was really good too. . .even if it burned someones tongue!:-)

Spirit Week

This last week was spirit week. It was super fun. Monday was Clash Day,
Tuesday was fake Injury Day, Wednesday was Cowboys and Indians,
and Thursday was Spirit Day! It was really fun and
I dressed up for them all! Some days were better than
others for dressing up but it was fun!

Sorry, I couldn't get this to turn around!:)

Fun at the Millers!

Several weeks ago I went to the Millers and had a blast. We ended up going to a concert at Fourth Baptist Church, in Plymouth which was sooooo fun! I got to hold baby Anders and I made him laugh. (Yeah he likes me!) He is such a sweet boy. It was so fun to spend time with all of them. They all make me feel like I'm part of the family. I love you guys!

Baby Anders' first fall! Isn't he sweet?

Here's the Family!

I just wanted to get some fun pictures with the entire family so here we are!!

This was actually taken at my recital! We all
wore some color of pink on accident! We must be
related.

Wow! It's all of us! I love this picture.

WAY TO GO DAD!!!!!

It is always so fun to have Aunt Darlene,
Jason, and Anna come over every Sunday!
I love you guys! Thanks for being a part of my family!

(As if you had a choice!:-)

Junior Recital is Over!!!

For all of you who didn't know, my Junior voice recital got postponed till this year because of my tooth that absessed (Sp?) last year. That was quite an ordeal. With seven trips to the dentist in less than 4 weeks, plus it turned into a sinus infection which drained into my throat (yummy:-). At any rate, I couldn't sing a note and so my jr. voice recital was moved to the fall of my sr. year. That equates 2 voice recitals in 1 school year. . . Aren't a blessed and lucky child? My recital went well and I praise the Lord for that. When practicing 2 days before hand I blanked out on 3 of the songs that I'd been singing for over a year now. Crazy huh!? It made me very nervous. I'd rather sing 14 songs for church right in a row than to sing for a recital. Oh well! My pianist told me something that really encouraged me and challenged me! Right before I went on the stage Melody said, "Mr. Bevis once told me, 'There is none to fear, one to please!' " That helped me to refocus on what I was doing and why. It didn't matter what happened out there as long as I gave it my best and honored the Lord with my response! Here are some pictures of the big night!

Me, Mr. Bevis, and Melody Shukri. We met
1 hour before the recital for pictures and sound check.
That took all of 15 minutes and then I was supposed
to stay hidden in the green room. Why Oh why, was I there
so early!?

Melody Shukri is definitely my favorite accompaniast
here on campus. She is good at following the singer
and also feeling what the music calls for. She will
also be playing for my Senior Recital. This is a huge committment
for her because she also has her own voice recital this year.
Please pray for her as she will have a lot on her plate.

Mr. Bevis has taught me so much. He has not only
taught me about the technicalities of singing, but he's
taught me, by example, that loving Christ needs to be
my highest goal. That love for Christ should drive me
and make me want to be the best that I can be in whatever
I do, particularly music, so that I may better please Him!
Thanks Mr. Bevis for the lifelong impact you've made on me.
I hope that I will be able to use what you've taught me and will
teach me through out this year to touch another life as you
have touched mine. You have definitely touched my life as a
musician, but even more so as a child of the King!

Dan Mielke graciously consented to being my ushser.
He did a great job! Thanks Dan for being a part of
my big day, and for helping me remember who
I was singing for.

This is a ridiculous picture. Johnathan bought a cowboy
hat and wears it all the time now! Thanks Seth :-)
Anyway, we all went out to culvers with Mr. and Mrs. Clay
afterward and Johnathan wanted to get a picture of me
wearing his cowboy hat! He thought it completed my outfit.
I was just glad that I was done with the whole thing!

My Senior Year Begins!!!!

Pillsbury has started with a gusto that always accompanies the excitement of another year. Classes have begun and homework has to. I've been here since August 13, and God has already been teaching me a lot. I will admit that college though great is starting to wear on me and graduation is very appealing. However, as the song that we sang all summer goes, "Little by Little inch by inch!" So I guess I'll just keep stair stepping to the end! However, this year is very exciting because of what God is teaching me. Being a 2nd year floor leader I have really come into this year with a different perspective than before. I realize how I'd like to do things differently and how God desires me to be with Him in order for those things to happen. In the whole scope of life I can't try to be a better Floor Leader, better sister, better whatever because I can't do it. The Lord is teaching me that in order to become a better whatever, I must first and foremost make Christ my goal. I must long and yearn for him with a zeal that controls all of me! The living right happens as I draw nigh to my Savior because it is then that His still small voice can be heard and I will be able to know just what it is God expects me to do and respond appropriatly.

Let me introduce you to my floor this year. They are an awesome bunch of girls and I'm so pumped because they all seem to want to do right and go forward for God! I don't know all of them very well yet but I think I'm getting to know most of them pretty well. By then end of next week I'll hopefully have had a meaningful conversation (this means more than just hi and by. It includes getting to know where they are from and what they are all about) with them all.

This is my girls on 3rd floor! We are missing 4 girls in this picture. The picture at the top is my floor leader group. The girl in the black is Carissa Callahan and she is my co-floor leader.

Awww aren't they sweet??

Charity and Seth in front of the tree. Seth thought he should have had his pitch fork for this picture. We told him no!!!! :-)
